This isn’t about self-promotion for its own sake. It’s about being able to see — and articulate — the actual value you’ve created. That clarity helps in performance reviews, in interviews, and honestly, in how you think about your own career trajectory.

A useful habit: keep a running log of wins as they happen, with numbers where you can. It’s much easier than trying to reconstruct them a year later when you need them.
